Who We Are

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Iron Sharpens Iron Mentoring Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2025 by Adonis Picquet, our Program President, on the principles of Ownership, Commitment, Leadership & Discipline. Our mission is to develop young men through life skills, entrepreneurship, fitness, community exposure, trade/college exposure, and manhood principles to end the school-to-prison pipeline.

OUR MISSION

We mentor and develop young minority men through life skills, entrepreneurship, fitness, community exposure, trade and college exposure, and manhood principles. Through these methods, we are dedicated to helping end the school-to-prison pipeline by surrounding young men with opportunities, positive role models, accountability, and experiences that expand what they believe is possible.

OUR VALUES

MENTORSHIP

We believe consistent, caring relationships with positive role models change the trajectory of a young man's life.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Accountability builds character. We teach young men to own their choices and grow from them.

EXPOSURE

New experiences expand vision. We introduce youth to opportunities, places, and people that broaden their world.

SERVICE

Serving others builds empathy and leadership. Community service is central to who we are.

Leadership

OUR LEADERSHIP & TEAM

Iron Sharpens Iron is led by men who live the principles we teach. Our leadership sets the standard for Ownership, Commitment, Leadership & Discipline — showing up consistently, holding each young man accountable, and opening doors to trades, college, entrepreneurship, and service opportunities across Plaquemines Parish & surrounding areas.

ADONIS L. PICQUET

Founder & Program President

Adonis is a proud husband, father, veteran, entrepreneur, and coach with more than 12 years of honorable service in the United States Army and Navy and over a decade coaching baseball and basketball throughout Orleans and Plaquemines Parish. His experience working with youth in re-entry programs and juvenile facilities — including Bridge City Center for Youth and Rivarde Juvenile Detention Center — deepened his belief that every boy deserves positive role models, real opportunities, and someone who believes in his potential before the world tells him who he should become. He founded Iron Sharpens Iron to equip young men with confidence, discipline, leadership, financial literacy, an entrepreneurial mindset, and life skills.

HAROLD J. FEDISON III

Mentor & Vice President

Harold is a proud father of six, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, business owner, coach, and dedicated mentor. His diverse background spans construction, skilled trades, and commercial fishing — and through every role he has built a reputation for hard work, discipline, leadership, and service. His experiences in the military, athletics, and business have shaped his passion for helping young men develop character, confidence, and purpose. Harold's mission is to help young men recognize their potential, make good choices, and become leaders in their homes, schools, and communities.

KESLYN WILLIAMS

Mentor & Treasurer

Keslyn is a proud father of five from Phoenix, Louisiana, with a lifetime of leadership, hard work, and service. He holds an Associate Degree in Electrical Construction and has traveled the world operating Remotely Operated Vehicles in Australia, Brazil, Norway, and Africa. As owner of Lil Wigs Seafood and Williams Event Rental LLC, he embodies the entrepreneurial mindset the program teaches. Beyond business, Keslyn invests in the next generation through youth sports, mentoring, community events, and volunteer work — building character, accountability, and leadership.

“Every boy deserves someone who believes in him before the world tries to define him.” ⚒️💪🏾

ROOTED IN PLAQUEMINES PARISH

Our work is local, personal, and intentional. We partner with families, schools, churches, and community leaders in Plaquemines Parish to meet young men where they are and walk with them toward where they can go.
